I love my Sunday reset routine. It helps me create focus and organize my schedule for the next week so I can move through it with the right intentions. So let me show you how I plan for a calm week in the video below.
What's a Sunday reset?
A Sunday reset is a moment you take to reflect on last week and plan for the next. You can take as long as you like. I usually take an hour to sip my tea and go through everything I want to do the coming week. Sometimes I'm done in 10 minutes. It really depends on how busy I am, but I have my Sunday reset either way. It helps me live an intentional life instead of rushing through it.
My Sunday reset routine step by step
I often feel a little overwhelmed at the end of the week, so I keep my Sunday reset routine really simple. Here we go:
Step 1: Habit tracker
I always start off with updating my habit trackers. I use the Habit Tracker Ring Binder Inserts to create custom trackers. They help me gain insight into how I've been taking care of myself and if there's anything I need to pay more attention to in the coming week. It's a great way to improve my physical and mental health.
Step 2: Brain dump
I use my Monthly Planner Notepad to dump and plan every task I can think of for the coming week or month. It helps me create an overview of my tasks and which days I would like to finish them. It's easier to see everything in front of me on paper, than to try and envision everything in my head. I would probably forget half of the things I need to do if I don't write them down.
Step 3: Updating my bullet journal
Once I know exactly what tasks I want to finish in the coming week, I move over to my bullet journal. That's where I break down the tasks for Monday into smaller practical steps. That's how I never miss important details and steps. My bullet journal is the place where I really get into all the nitty-gritty.
Step 4: Planning in my Hobonichi weeks
After setting up my bullet journal I know how busy I will be. That makes it easier to plan appointments and find pockets of time to finish the tasks on my bullet journal list. I love using my Hobonichi weeks to plan everything for the coming week. And I will also add in some margin for appointments or tasks that take longer than expected.
And that's it! Easy, right!?
