The difference between

  • Vintage

    Vintage products are at least 25 years old. Which often makes them hard to find and very popular. Mostly because people enjoy the style, the feelings of nostalgia, core memories or a specific aesthetic you can't find in stores these days.

  • Pre-owned

    At My True Life pre-owned means the products are like new. For example: a pair of unworn jeans that came out a year ago, but are now looking for a new home because the previous owner changed styles. Buying a pre-owned item reduces waste.

  • Antique

    Antique items are at least 100 years old. They're often one of a kind and harder to find, which makes them very valuable. They also need some extra love and care, because aging materials can be sensitive. But if you treat an antique treasure right, you'll be able to enjoy them for many years to come.

  • Deadstock

    Deadstock is old inventory from a store or brand that hasn't been sold. The products are new, still in the packaging, with the original tags. Think of 50 pairs of sunglasses that were never sold through the original store. They just laid around in the stockroom and are now looking for a new home.

We don't have one place where we find pre-owned, vintage and antique items. But we do give you the source location to share the products history.

🏷️ Comes with original tags

Some of the pre-owned, vintage and antique items in are store come with the original tags. If so, we'll let you know.

🧾 Comes with authentication certificate

You will receive the authentication certificate if the item has one. For example, some of the newer pre-owned designer bags and accessories in the My True Life shop, can be authenticated through AI services and/or the original receipt.
